President Isaac Herzog visited Hostages’ Square in Tel Aviv on this Sunday morning, delivering a heartfelt message to the families of Israel’s abducted citizens and sending a direct appeal to the international community.

Speaking at the square, Herzog emphasized Israel’s unwavering commitment to the 50 remaining hostages held in Gaza.

“All of Israel is anxious, worried, and united in wanting our brothers and sisters home. Not a single Israeli is indifferent to their plight,” he said. “We may debate worldviews, but every Israeli wants our fellow citizens back safely.”

Addressing the hostages directly, Herzog said:

“We have not forgotten you for a moment. You are in the hands of a cruel, bitter enemy who spares no means to harm Israel, to terrify our people. But we will not falter, and we will bring you home.”

The president also spoke to the families gathered at the square.

“We are with you. All of Israel is with you. We care, we grieve, we pray, and we cry out in our own ways. And to our soldiers on the front lines, fighting to bring them home – thank you,” he added.

Herzog concluded with a pointed message to the global community:

“I call on the world to stop the hypocrisy. When pressure is needed, you know how to apply it. Press Hamas, they should have released the hostages immediately! Stop yielding to Hamas’s whims and emotional manipulations. Release them first and foremost. I call on the entire world: end the hypocrisy and free them.”
