Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu shares a warning:

To the ones involved in this Sunday protests, who call to end the war without the total defeat of Hamas, be wise — this strategy could risk repeating the atrocities of October 7 and prolonging the conflict indefinitely.

Speaking at a cabinet meeting, Netanyahu stressed that maintaining long-term Israeli security control in Gaza is a non-negotiable condition for ending the war.

“Hamas wants us to withdraw completely from the north, south, Philadelphi Corridor, and the security perimeter protecting our communities. That would allow them to rearm, reorganize, and strike again,” he said.

The prime minister outlined recent military operations, including IDF strikes in Gaza’s Zeitoun neighborhood that killed dozens of militants, naval strikes on power stations in Yemen, and Israeli Air Force operations against Hezbollah operatives and rocket launchers in Lebanon. Netanyahu emphasized that activity in Lebanon is being conducted under the framework of the existing ceasefire, with Israel responding by force to any Hezbollah violations.

He rejected growing calls for an immediate end to the fighting, insisting such a move would only embolden Hamas and delay the release of hostages.

“Those who demand ending the war now ensure that the horrors of October 7 will repeat themselves, forcing our children into an endless war,” he warned.

Netanyahu reaffirmed the cabinet’s decision from last week to continue military operations until Hamas is defeated. “Together we have achieved major victories on all fronts. Together we will complete the mission and bring this war to an end,” he concluded.
