Naim Qassem, leader of Hezbollah, gave a speech today (Monday) warning and even threatening the Lebanese government not to carry out its planned disarmament of the terrorist group, according to Roi Kais of Kann News:

"All the problems we suffer from are because of the Israeli enemy and the American supporter who causes all pain to Lebanon and enables the continuation of the occupation and aggression. If we want to solve our problems, the beginning is in restoring national sovereignty - Israeli withdrawal, complete cessation of aggression, release of prisoners and rehabilitation. This is the beginning and without this beginning it cannot be solved.

"The government is responsible for creating a political, media, military and mobilization plan in order to bring sovereignty. There is no stability, development and recovery without sovereignty. This is what the government needs to do. I call on the Lebanese government to create intensive sessions for the restoration of sovereignty, and the creation of various plans - that you think how to restore it, in diplomacy, arming the Lebanese army, the decision of peace and war, national security and defense strategy and everything that will help, so that the government restores sovereignty.

"I call on parties and influencers throughout Lebanon to help in the war of thinking and preparing plans. Therefore: publish your proposals on social networks and in the media, show the government that there are ideas that can be implemented and that the government should do it, dedicate this week to submitting proposals to the government, demand from it, even if you flood the government with proposals - it will help. There are websites for ministers on social networks, flood them with your proposals, call them, tell them, fill the screens with demands for sovereignty."

"Whoever wants to disarm us, wants to strip our spirit from us and when that happens, they will see our strength." Qassem reportedly added that there is no such thing as "step by step," Israel must implement the agreement first and then we will discuss Lebanon's defense strategy. He also urged the Lebanese government to stand up to the US and Israel and that "we will be with you in taking this honorable position." Qassem noted that Hezbollah has supporters who are more than half the Lebanese people and they will all be with us to defend Lebanon, Lebanon's resistance, the Lebanese people and Lebanon's pride."
