WATCH: IAF Cripples Iran’s Air Defenses in Operation Rising Lion

The Israeli Air Force (IAF) continues to dominate Iran’s military infrastructure in its ongoing campaign, dubbed Operation Rising Lion, launched to neutralize the Iranian regime’s nuclear and missile threats. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) recently released striking footage showcasing IAF jets obliterating Iranian air defense systems and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces loading missile batteries. Since the operation began on June 13, 2025, the IDF has destroyed 70 Iranian air defense batteries, severely hampering Tehran’s ability to protect its skies.

The IAF’s precision strikes have targeted critical military assets, including over 120 surface-to-surface missile launchers, roughly a third of Iran’s arsenal. These attacks, guided by intelligence, have disrupted Iran’s capacity to launch large-scale missile barrages, with the IDF reporting that Iran managed only half of its planned missile salvoes against Israel. The operation has also eliminated key IRGC commanders and nuclear scientists, further weakening Iran’s military and nuclear ambitions.

IDF Spokesperson Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin emphasized the operation’s success, stating, “We are continuing to strike in Iran and remain ready on the defense.” The IAF has achieved “full aerial superiority” over Tehran, with strikes on radar installations, missile storage sites, and command centers in cities like Isfahan and Tabriz. Footage shows Israeli drones and jets dismantling launchers and neutralizing IRGC troops in real time, underscoring Israel’s technological and strategic edge.

Despite Iran’s retaliatory missile and drone attacks, most have been intercepted by Israel’s multilayered defense systems, including the Iron Dome and Arrow interceptors. The IAF’s relentless campaign has left Iran’s air defenses in disarray, exposing vulnerabilities in the regime’s military infrastructure and signalling Israel’s unwavering commitment to countering Tehran’s threats.
