IDF: Commando units also operated in Iran during Operation Rising Lion
Alongside air force and intelligence units, Israeli special forces helped to cripple and weaken Iran's defensive and offensive capabilities.

During a statement to the public released today (Wednesday) summarizing Operation Rising Lion, IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir revealed that IDF commando and special forces units also helped Operation Rising Lion in harming Iran's defensive and offensive capabilities.
Zamir said that the IDF successfully caused serious damage not only to the existential threats of nuclear weapons and long-range ballistic missiles, but also to what he called Iran's "plan to destroy Israel," which involved a massive, simultaneous ground attack from multiple directions into Israel by Iran-affiliated forces, including Hamas, Hezbollah, and others.
Zamir said that the strikes on Iran's nuclear and ballistic missile programs were sufficient to drive it back years, and that Israel proved it now had complete command of the Iranian skies.
