Extensive destruction of subterranean networks severely restricts enemy movement and operations.
The IDF spokesperson stated that the mission was clear: to destroy the enemy both above and below ground. After four and a half months of intense fighting, Reserve Division 252 has completed its operations in the northern Gaza Strip. Division 99 will now take over responsibility for the area.
During the operation, Division 252’s forces eliminated dozens of terrorists and destroyed more than six kilometers of underground tunnels, along with dozens of tunnel shafts and key military infrastructure used by terrorist organizations threatening Israeli forces. Since the start of the war, the reserve fighters of Division 252 have carried out a range of offensive and defensive missions, including battles on the perimeter, maneuvering within Gaza, and defending multiple sectors.
