The Israeli military announced it has eliminated Muhammad Jamal Murad, the Hezbollah operative who served as the commander of the terror group’s artillery operations along Lebanon’s southern coastline.

According to the IDF, Murad was killed earlier today in an airstrike in the al-Mansouri area of southern Lebanon. He was reportedly responsible for multiple rocket launches at Israel throughout the ongoing conflict and had recently been working to rebuild Hezbollah’s coastal artillery capabilities.

The IDF said Murad’s continued operations posed a direct threat to the State of Israel and its citizens, constituting a flagrant violation of prior understandings between Israel and Lebanon.

In a statement, the military emphasized: “The IDF will continue to act to eliminate any threat to the State of Israel.”
