The IDF continues to launch targeted attacks against any Hezbollah effort to rebuild terrorist infrastructure in southern Lebanon, despite the formal ceasefire and in an effort to enforce it.

Meanwhile, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun has repeatedly stated his intent to secure the disarmament of Hezbollah and the incorporation of its forces into the official Lebanese Army as individual soldiers, not as whole units.

Aoun said he wishes to avoid an "Iraqi situation" whereby terrorist militias have whole units inside the official army, a statement which garnered protest from Iraq.
