Staff Sgt. Alon Davidov named as seventh IDF casualty in Khan Younis
The 21-year-old soldier from Kiryat Yam was among seven killed when terrorists attached an IED to an armored vehicle.

It has been cleared for publication that Sergeant Alon Davidov, 21, from Kiryat Yam, is the seventh fallen soldier who died last night in the battle at Khan Younis. Davidov was a combat medic in the 605th Combat Engineering Battalion, 'Barak' Division (188).
Seven soldiers from the IDF’s 605th Combat Engineering Battalion were killed in a deadly terror attack in southern Gaza, after a terrorist managed to attach an improvised explosive device (IED) to their armored personnel carrier (APC). The incident occurred in the Khan Younis area, a key flashpoint in the ongoing fighting between Israeli forces and Hamas.
According to a preliminary investigation by the IDF, the attack targeted a “Puma” APC operated by forces from the 188th Armored Brigade. A terrorist apparently approached the vehicle undetected and placed the explosive device, which detonated while the soldiers were inside.
