Cleared for Publication: IDF Soldier Takes His Own Life at Northern Base
An IDF Nahal Brigade soldier who fought in the recent Gaza war took his own life at a northern base in the Golan Heights, marking the third soldier suicide in the past ten days.

A tragic incident occurred today (Monday) at an IDF military base in the Golan Heights, where a Nahal Brigade soldier ended his life. The soldier had fought in the Gaza Strip during the recent war.
The IDF confirmed that the soldier was found without signs of life at the northern base. Following the event, the Military Police Investigations Unit (Metzach) launched an investigation, the findings of which will be forwarded to the military prosecution. The family has been notified, and the IDF expressed its condolences, pledging ongoing support as needed.
This marks the third soldier suicide in the IDF within the last week and a half, a troubling trend raising serious concerns among senior command about addressing soldiers’ mental health, especially those recently returned from the Gaza front.
Tzadok was laid to rest last night at Beit Shemesh Cemetery at 11:30 p.m.
