IDF Spokesperson: We Will Not Alow Syria To Become A Terror Bastion
The IDF Spokesperson said that the army struck multiple targets in Syria to prevent any military buildup in the southern part of the country.

IDF Spokesperson Effi Defrin gave a briefing today (Thursday) regarding developments in Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria. Here are the highlights:
The IDF is close to completing Operation Gideon's Chariots' objectives "as defined and approved" by the government, including encircling the city of Gaza, Khan Yunis, and the Mawasi, destroying thousands of terror tunnels and eliminating multiple terrorists.
Defrin made it clear that the IDF now believes that if they are not consistently present and protecting Israel's borders, terrorists that don't encounter IDF soldiers will encounter the citizens of the Western Negev.
Regarding Syria, Defrin warned Israeli citizens not to break through to Syria as they did yesterday, as the situation remains delicate and dangerous. He did stress that the IDF seeks to prevent any danger to the Druze and prevent southern Surya from becoming a terrorist bastion.
He also said that the IDF struck multiple Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, terrorists who were violating the understandings of the ceasefire.
