Iran Issues Fresh Threat to Israel: "We Will Respond with an Iron Fist"
Tehran isn’t buying the calm: Its generals are already preparing for what comes next.

Iran is seething after Israel emerged dominant from their latest clash, and its military chief is firing off sharp threats. Less than a week after the ceasefire between Iran and Israel, Iranian Armed Forces Chief of Staff Abdul Rahim Mousavi spoke with Saudi officials on Sunday, expressing doubts about Israel’s commitment to the truce. According to Al Araby Al Jadeed, Mousavi warned that Iran is prepared to respond with “an iron fist” to any attack.
“We didn’t start the war, but we responded with full force to the aggressor. However, as we are completely skeptical of the enemy’s commitments, including the ceasefire, we are ready to respond firmly if aggression resumes,” Mousavi declared. He accused Israel and the United States of “proving they abide by no international rule or law” during the 12-day conflict, claiming Iran faced their aggression despite exercising restraint multiple times, even during indirect negotiations with the U.S.
Saudi Defense Minister Khaled bin Salman, per Iranian television, stated that Saudi Arabia not only condemned the attacks but made significant efforts to end the war. He also extended condolences to Iran for the loss of several military commanders during the conflict.
