Success or surrender? Details of Israel-Hamas hostage deal revealed

The Saudi magazine al-Majallah has revealed the full details of the proposed deal to free ten living hostages and eighteen deceased ones.

The Saudi magazine al-Majalla has published the ostensible details of the Israel-Hamas hostage deal today (Friday), according to Channel 12 News:

"Duration: Ceasefire for 60 days. President Trump guaranteed Israel's commitment to the ceasefire during the agreed period.

"Release of 10 living hostages and 18 deceased according to the following timeline: Day 1: Release of 8 living hostages Day 7: Return of 5 deceased hostages Day 30: Return of 5 deceased hostages Day 50: Release of 2 living hostages Day 60: Return of 8 deceased hostages

"Humanitarian Aid: Aid will be transferred to the Gaza Strip immediately upon Hamas's agreement to the ceasefire accord. This will be carried out in accordance with the agreement reached regarding aid to the civilian population, which will be honored throughout the entire period of the agreement. The agreement will include a commitment to the arrival of aid in large quantities and according to needs, in accordance with the January 19, 2025 agreement regarding humanitarian aid. The aid will be distributed through agreed channels including the UN and the Red Crescent.

"Israeli Military Operations: All offensive Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip will cease upon the agreement taking effect. During the ceasefire period, aerial activity (military and intelligence) over the Gaza Strip will also cease for 10 hours per day or 12 hours per day on days when hostage releases take place.

"IDF Force Deployment: a. On the first day, after the release of Israeli hostages (8 living), redeployment will take place in northern Gaza Strip and the Netzarim Corridor, in accordance with Section 3 regarding humanitarian aid and based on maps agreed upon in advance. b. On the seventh day, after the handover of deceased Israeli hostages (5 deceased hostages), redeployment will take place in southern Gaza Strip, in accordance with Section 3 regarding humanitarian aid and based on maps agreed upon in advance. c. Technical teams will work to determine final boundaries for redeployment within the framework of accelerated negotiations.

"Negotiations: On the first day, negotiation talks will open under the sponsorship of the mediator-guarantors, regarding arrangements required for a permanent ceasefire, which will include: a - Principles and conditions for the release of all remaining Israeli hostages, in exchange for a number of Palestinian prisoners to be determined by agreement between the parties. b - Issues relating to redeployment and withdrawal of Israeli forces, as well as long-term security arrangements in the Gaza Strip. c - Arrangements regarding the "day after" in the Gaza Strip, which may be proposed by either party. d - Declaration of a permanent ceasefire.

"Presidential Support: US President Trump is serious about the parties' commitment to the ceasefire agreement, and he insists that the negotiations that will take place during the temporary ceasefire period, if successfully concluded in an agreement between the parties, will lead to a permanent solution to the conflict.

"Release of Palestinian Prisoners: In exchange for the release of Israeli hostages, living and deceased, and in accordance with Section (2) above, Israel will release a number of Palestinian prisoners to be agreed upon between the parties. The release process will be carried out in parallel to the hostage release, in accordance with Section (2) and subject to a mechanism agreed upon in advance and without public ceremonies.

"Status of Hostages and Prisoners: On day 10, Hamas will provide complete information (proof of life and medical status report / proof of death) regarding each of the remaining hostages. In exchange, Israel will provide complete information about Palestinian prisoners arrested in the Gaza Strip since October 7, as well as the number of deaths among Gaza residents held in Israel. Hamas commits to ensuring the health, safety and security of the hostages during the ceasefire period.

"Release of Remaining Hostages with the Agreement: Negotiations on arrangements required for a permanent ceasefire must be completed within 60 days. Upon reaching an agreement, all remaining Israeli hostages (living and deceased) from the "list of 58" submitted by Israel will be released. If negotiations are not completed within the specified period, the temporary ceasefire may be extended in accordance with Section (11) below.

"Guarantors: The mediator-guarantors (United States, Egypt and Qatar) will guarantee that the ceasefire will continue for 60 days, and will ensure serious discussions on arrangements required for a permanent ceasefire. The guarantors will also guarantee continued serious negotiations for an additional period - if required, in accordance with procedures agreed upon within this framework.

"Special Envoy: Special Envoy Steve Witkoff will arrive in the region to complete the agreement, and he will head the negotiating team.

"President Trump: President Trump himself will personally announce the ceasefire agreement. The United States and President Trump are committed to working to ensure continued negotiations - until a final agreement is reached."
