In a critical wartime update, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir announced Sunday evening that Israel has reached a strategic turning point in its ongoing military operation against Iran, dubbed “Operation Am K’Lavi.” The declaration followed a deadly and highly precise U.S. strike on Iran’s central nuclear facilities, which Zamir described as “impressive” and “strategically vital for the State of Israel.”

Speaking during a high-level operational assessment with the IDF General Staff, Zamir stated, “We are on the tenth day of Operation Am K’Lavi. Until now, we’ve achieved major successes, primarily in inflicting substantial damage on Iran’s nuclear program.” He emphasized that the overnight American attack “was made possible thanks to the courageous leadership of our partners in the United States and a combined diplomatic-military effort.”

Zamir revealed that he has been in constant coordination with the Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Kane, and CENTCOM Commander General Kurilla, both of whom played central roles in coordinating the transcontinental offensive. “This close coordination between the militaries is a strategic asset for Israel,” Zamir stressed. “We must remember: the campaign is not over. We have more targets to hit and goals to complete.”

As part of the IDF’s broader efforts, he added, Israeli forces, alongside the Shin Bet, successfully completed a complex operation to recover the bodies of fallen hostages: Yonatan Semarno, Ofra Keidar, and Staff Sergeant First Class Shai Levinson, of blessed memory. “We remain fully committed to bringing back all the hostages. This is a central mission that the IDF continues to prioritize.”

The Chief of Staff also addressed recent rocket barrages fired at Israeli communities: “These are challenging days for all of Israeli society. This morning again, rockets were launched toward civilian areas. Thanks to the responsible conduct of our citizens, casualties have been significantly reduced. The resilience of our home front empowers us to keep pressing forward on the battlefield.”

Zamir concluded with a warning to Israel’s enemies: “We remain on high alert across all combat fronts. The IDF has demonstrated determination and capabilities wherever challenged. Anyone who tries to test us will pay a heavy price. We will not compromise on the security of the citizens of the State of Israel.”
