"Zionism is like ISIS", says Jewish Iranian parliamentarian
Dr. Homain Simh defends Iran’s Islamic regime and equates Zionism with terrorism, even as Jewish arrests raise fears of growing antisemitism.

Against the backdrop of worrying reports in Israel and around the world about the arrest of dozens of Jews after the 12-day war with Israel, the Jewish representative in the Iranian parliament, Dr. Homen Simh, continues to publicly support the ayatollahs' regime in Tehran.
In an interview with local media, Dr. Simh said that "he wishes to express his condolences to the great nation of Iran on the martyrdom of great military commanders, Iranian scientists and defenseless people in the country, children, women and men."
Simcha said: "The loss of each of these loved ones is a great and irreversible loss. However, we are proud of the existence of these saints; These loved ones are a source of honor, pride and authority for Iran."
"Since the beginning of the revolution, the Iranian Jewish community has always condemned the Zionist regime's invasion of the occupied territories and the cruel massacre of the Palestinian people, and has participated in the Jerusalem Day ceremonies," he said.
The member of parliament said: "We are all Iranians, and we see the Iranian Jewish community and other religious minorities in our country as part of the fabric of Iran as a whole, and we have all lived in security, honor, and peace under the Iranian flag."
Shamakh declared: "Religious authorities, community rabbis, and representatives of the Iranian Jewish community condemned the attacks of the Zionist regime on Iranian soil and the targeting of scientific and military officials and defenseless people. What is important is that every power, whether Europe, America, or the Zionist regime, knows that such an approach against Iran will only lead to regret and failure."
Regarding the difference between Judaism and Zionism, the Jewish representative in the parliament said: "Judaism is more than 5,000 years old, while Zionism is less than 150 years old. Zionism is a political party that tries to legitimize itself by exploiting Judaism, while true Judaism is nothing like the actions of the Zionist regime." According to him, Zionism is "the ISIS of Judaism."
