The Jordanian regime announced that 16 people were arrested in the country on suspicion of planning a series of actions that threatened national security.

According to the announcement, the suspects possessed a rocket ready for launch and operated a facility for manufacturing drones.

According to a report on Jordanian television, the detainees were caught after a lengthy surveillance operation that began in 2021. The Jordanian report stated that the plots to destabilize the country included, in addition to missile production, a project to manufacture drones and the recruitment and training of operatives in Jordan and abroad.

According to a report by journalist Roi Kais: Security officials in Jordan are accusing the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas of being connected to this cell. So far they have not implicated Iran.

Military journalist Doron Kadosh from Galei Tzahal (IDF Radio) addressed the Jordanian publication: "For a long time, Israeli security officials have been warning of repeated Iranian attempts to establish terrorist infrastructure in Jordan and operate from there against the State of Israel."

"From the Jordanian announcement, it appears this was an already advanced terrorist infrastructure that possessed a missile ready for use, produced additional missiles and drones, and recruited and trained operatives."

"This is not something preliminary or in its infancy - this is a broad, dramatic, covert Iranian effort that is already in advanced stages."

However, military journalist Yossi Yehoshua reported that the suspects are linked to Hamas.
