Two Serious Accidents in Jordan Valley — 17-Year-Old Girl Killed, Nine Injured
Deadly crash near Adora claims the life of a teenage pedestrian; separate collision near Peza’el leaves multiple casualties.

Two severe road accidents struck the Hebron Hills and Jordan Valley regions on Monday afternoon, leaving one teenager dead and several others injured.
The first incident occurred on Route 35 near the community of Adora, where a 17-year-old girl was fatally struck by a truck. Emergency responders provided initial treatment at the scene, but despite prolonged resuscitation efforts, her death was pronounced on-site.
Senior firefighter commander Rav Reshef Ofir Levy described the scene as “severe and complex,” involving three vehicles. “We identified multiple casualties, including one person trapped inside a vehicle,” he said, noting that the extrication was lengthy and challenging.
Pinchas Teusig, a volunteer with Ichud Hatzalah, reported: “When I arrived, I found a 17-year-old girl unconscious, with no pulse or breathing, suffering from severe multi-system trauma after being hit by a truck. Medics and paramedics attempted life-saving measures, but unfortunately, due to the extent of her injuries, she was declared dead at the scene.”
In a separate crash on Route 505 between Peza’el and Ma’ale Efraim, medics from Magen David Adom and “Rescue Without Borders” provided initial treatment to nine people with varying degrees of injuries.
Local authorities reported partial road closures near Adora due to the fatal accident, with traffic expected to resume once the scene is cleared.
Road accidents continue to be a serious problem in Israeli life, and while the threat of terrorism looms much larger, the decline of terrorist threats from the north, Judea and Samaria, and even the Gaza Strip have now renewed the focus on road safety.
Drivers are advised to follow Transportation Ministry guidelines and warnings while on the road.
