Lapid Under Attack: "Echoing Hamas Messages, Shame on You"
Opposition leader Yair Lapid called for ending the war in Gaza and was attacked following his statements: "Instead of standing alongside the State of Israel, you chose to raise a white flag and serve the enemy. Shame on you."

Opposition Chairman Yair Lapid is currently (Monday) under attack after calling for an end to the war in Gaza. It should be recalled that Lapid stated: "The Israeli government no longer knows how to explain why soldiers continue to die in Gaza. This is not absolute victory – this is absolute disaster. This is a strategic failure that leads to operational and political failure."
Education Minister Yoav Kisch attacked him and wrote: "Lapid, it's very unfortunate that you chose to echo Hamas messages. If we listen to you and your colleagues and surrender – Hamas will return to rule Gaza, the blood of our fighters will be in vain, and the next massacre is only a matter of time. Instead of standing alongside the State of Israel, you chose to raise a white flag and serve the enemy. Shame on you."
According to Lapid: "The military campaign has gotten out of control. We are conquering Khan Younis for the fourth time, Jabaliya for the third time. Each time we leave, Hamas arrives, booby-traps routes and houses, and waits for us to return.
If we don't end the war now, the hostages won't return, the IDF will continue to lose its best fighters, the humanitarian disaster will continue to worsen, and the world will close itself off to Israelis," he conveyed.
"It doesn't have to be this way. There is an alternative to what is happening now." "The right solution is to make a comprehensive hostage deal and leave Gaza," the opposition chairman proposed. "The IDF will sit on the perimeter and from there will do the work of eliminating Hamas. Gaza will be managed by a coalition of moderate Arab states led by Egypt."
