A serious traffic accident occurred Wednesday evening at Poria Junction near Tiberias, with five people reported injured, including three in critical condition. The incident is under investigation, but authorities have ruled out a terror-related motive.

According to Magen David Adom (MDA), the emergency call was received at 5:23 PM local time. The report indicated that several pedestrians had been struck by a vehicle on Route 77, near the junction.

MDA paramedics and EMTs arrived on scene and are currently providing emergency medical treatment to five victims, three of whom were found unconscious.

“We are treating five individuals, including three who are unconscious,” MDA said in an official statement.

The Israeli police confirmed the incident involved multiple vehicles and emphasized that all those involved are present at the scene.

“This is a traffic accident, not a terror attack,” police clarified. “All individuals involved remain on-site and are cooperating.”

Traffic in the area has been disrupted as rescue efforts and the initial investigation continue. Authorities are still working to determine the cause of the crash.
