Israeli religious singer Meir Green experienced moments of terror when his young son, Malachi, nearly drowned in the family’s pool during Shabbat at their home in the United States. Thanks to swift resuscitation efforts, the child was saved and is now in stable condition, Green shared in an emotional post on social media. The incident, reported by Itzik Ohana for Kikar HaShabbat, has drawn widespread attention and gratitude from Green’s followers.
Green recounted the harrowing ordeal: “Our sweet son Malachi drowned in the pool during Shabbat, and by the immense grace of God, I found him in time, unconscious. We performed CPR, and he was then rushed to the hospital.” He described the hours that followed as filled with “fear, tears, and the sharpest, most shattering pain I’ve ever known.” Miraculously, Malachi fully recovered, prompting Green to express profound gratitude: “Praise His name forever. Thank you to all who prayed. God granted us a great miracle. It could have ended differently, but we received a gift, our child back.”
The incident occurred at the family’s residence. Green, known for songs like “Nekuda Shel Or” and “Ki Ani Yehudi,” used the opportunity to thank supporters and emphasize the power of divine intervention. The story resonated deeply within Israel’s religious community, with many praising Green’s quick response and the medical team’s efforts.
