Mark Bouzyk, a prominent biotechnology executive and co-founder of AllaiHealth, was terminated after a viral video showed him joining his wife, Anna Bouzyk, unleashing a vicious anti-Semitic rant against their neighbour, David Lubin, whose daughter, Sgt. Elisheva Rose Ida Lubin, was murdered in a November 2023 Jerusalem terror attack. The confrontation occurred in Atlanta when David was placing memorial stickers for his 20-year-old daughter, a U.S.-born Israeli Border Police officer killed by a 16-year-old terrorist in Jerusalem’s Old City, weeks after her unit’s heroic defense during Hamas’s October 7, 2023, massacre at Kibbutz Sa’ad. Anna screamed slurs, calling David a “k**e” and “corrupt Israeli,” and claimed Rose “deserved to die.” Mark, occasionally joining in, did not intervene. Anna later told a local TV station, “I don’t regret it. I would say it a million times again,” alleging David provoked her by accusing her of antisemitism and “vandalizing” public property with the stickers.

David, devastated, responded in the video, “Do you realize when you say that how disgusting you are? You are the most disgusting person I’ve ever met.” He recorded the incident to expose the hatred in his community, stating, “I needed to get this woman on tape so people could hear how much hate was in her.” Neighbours reported prior anti-Semitic signs at the Bouzyks’ home, indicating ongoing tensions. AllaiHealth swiftly fired Mark, with CEO Robert Boisjoli declaring, “We are deeply disturbed and disheartened by the video involving Dr. Mark Bouzyk. The behavior displayed is completely inconsistent with our values and has no place in our organization or society.”

Bouzyk, a PhD in molecular genetics from the University of Hertfordshire, previously co-founded Akesogen, sold for $1.5 million in 2019. Anna, who once ran an inactive Etsy jewelry shop, SpiderBlue, claimed she approached David over the stickers’ placement. Rose, who immigrated to Israel in 2021, is remembered for her bravery. The incident, amplified on X, reflects a 140% surge in U.S. anti-Semitic incidents in 2024, per the Anti-Defamation League, fuelling demands for accountability.
