In Rare Statement, Mossad Chief Declares: “We Helped the Air Force Strike Iran’s Nuclear Project” — Vows Ongoing Operations Inside the Islamic Republic
Dedi Barnea breaks silence: “We will be there, just as we have been until now.” In an emotional address to Mossad agents, he reveals CIA cooperation, praises the IDF, and warns Israel’s moral duty remains unfulfilled until hostages are home.
In a rare and powerful internal address to Mossad agents, Israel’s intelligence chief David “Dedi” Barnea publicly acknowledged the agency’s central role in the recent strike on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, calling it a historic moment for Israeli security.
“We helped the Air Force achieve objectives that at first seemed imaginary,” Barnea stated, revealing unprecedented cooperation with the IDF and CIA.
He emphasized that the success was not improvised, but the result of meticulous groundwork carried out over “months, even years,” culminating in what he called “the right moment” to launch the operation.
Below is the full translated transcript of his message to Mossad operatives:
“First of all, I want to express enormous appreciation for everything you’ve done—not just since the beginning of the operation, but going back many months, even years. You carried out all the necessary activities in exactly the right way, leading us to that one decisive moment—the moment the operation began. There wasn’t a single person here who wasn’t deeply moved—not only because we succeeded, but because we truly understood the magnitude of the moment and the historic mission we were fulfilling for the security of the State of Israel. I’m certain none of us will ever forget these moments. And on behalf of our entire people, I want to thank you for what you’ve done. I want to extend deep appreciation to the Chief of Staff and the IDF, to Military Intelligence and its head, to the commander of the Air Force and the entire corps—for your partnership with the Mossad and for achieving goals that at first seemed fantastical. Today, thanks to the entire defense establishment, Israel feels like a different country—a safer country, a stronger country, one that is ready for the future. I also want to express appreciation and gratitude to our central partner, the CIA—for the joint activity, for the operations we carried out together, and to the CIA Director himself who supported the Mossad in reaching the right decisions that ultimately enabled this operation. We will continue to keep seven eyes open on every single project Iran is pursuing—we know them in the deepest detail—and we will be there, just as we have been until now. I would like to say ‘mission accomplished,’ but... we can’t forget that there are still 50 hostages in Gaza—30 dead, and 20 alive—whom we are morally and ethically obligated to bring back to our borders. Once again, I want to thank all of you and tell you: You are part of history. A permanent, unforgettable part of what Mossad has done and is doing. Keep working shoulder to shoulder with our partners in the IDF and Shin Bet. And together, we will continue bringing great victories to the people of Israel. So thank you all. Truly, kol hakavod.”
The speech, which has now surfaced via internal channels, marks one of the strongest and most explicit acknowledgments by a sitting Mossad director of direct involvement in Israeli military strikes—and of the continuing, high-stakes intelligence war with Iran.
The message also makes clear: Mossad’s eyes remain fixed on both Tehran’s nuclear ambitions and Hamas’s tunnels in Gaza. And it’s not done yet.
