Prime Minister Netanyahu said today (Wednesday) that there are 21 live hostages and 3 who may or may not be alive, thus partially contradicting President Trump's statement that the three in question are no longer alive.

During a press conference yesterday, President Trump stated that there were only 21 living hostages, and that he was told "a few days ago" that three of the reported 24 have died in Hamas captivity. Sarah Netanyahu reportedly admitted the same thing in a hot mic moment weeks before.

Netanyahu has said before that he thinks there are "up to 24 hostages," as it has been Israel's consistent policy to consider hostages to be alive unless the government has clear and unequivocal evidence that they are indeed dead.
