Netanyahu Praises Shin Bet’s Role in Iran Victory: ‘You Secured Israel’s Eternity’
Prime Minister Netanyahu visited a Shin Bet facility, commending its role in thwarting Iranian threats and enabling Israel’s recent military successes, which have opened opportunities for hostage rescues and regional peace. The Shin Bet reported preventing numerous attacks, underscoring its critical contribution to national security amid ongoing conflicts.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited a Shin Bet facility in southern Israel today, meeting with Acting Shin Bet Chief S., the deputy chief, senior leadership, and agency personnel. During the visit, Netanyahu received a comprehensive intelligence briefing and an overview of Shin Bet’s operations across multiple fronts. The agency showcased its special operations in Gaza, including missions to rescue living and deceased hostages, efforts to counter Iranian espionage in Israel, and advanced technological tools deployed during the ongoing conflict. The briefing highlighted the agency’s critical role in Israel’s recent military successes, particularly in Operation Rising Lion, which neutralized Iran’s nuclear and missile capabilities.
Netanyahu lauded the Shin Bet’s efforts, stating, “We removed an immediate threat to our existence, two deadly threats to our survival. You did an exceptional job in neutralizing their advantage, their targets, and achieving highly effective results, both offensively and defensively. I was truly impressed by the technology.” He emphasized the broader implications of Israel’s victory, saying, “Many opportunities have now opened as a result of this victory, first and foremost to rescue the hostages. Of course, we will need to resolve the Gaza issue and defeat Hamas, but I believe we will achieve both objectives. Beyond that, wide regional opportunities are emerging, in which you are almost entirely involved.” He concluded, “I want to thank you on behalf of the people of Israel for your role in ensuring Israel’s eternity, nothing less.”
Acting Shin Bet Chief S. highlighted the agency’s defensive achievements, declaring, “The Iranian effort met an impenetrable wall of Shin Bet countermeasures, leaving the Iranians with zero successes in realizing their intentions.” He added, “The covert campaign led by the Shin Bet has tangible results: on average, we thwarted two significant attacks per day during the campaign, totaling around 770 prevented attacks since the start of the year.” S. also praised the IDF and Mossad for their “exceptional offensive actions that achieved unprecedented results” and thanked Shin Bet personnel for denying adversaries any internal victories.
