Prime Minister Netanyahu's meeting with President Donald Trump has begun today (Monday). At its start, Netanyahu submitted a letter to the President recommending him for a Nobel Peace Prize.

Netanyahu also favorably mentioned the plan to allow Gazans who wish to leave to leave the Strip, as well as allow those who wish to stay to remain. He called it Operation "Free Choice," saying that Israel is working closely with the United States to find countries which will accommodate Gazans.

Trump said that he stops wars rather than starts them, and committed himself to ensuring that Iran never becomes a nuclear power. He also said that Iran wants to talk.

Netanyahu also said that the Palestinians need to be able to govern themselves but not harm Israel, and that he thinks Israel will succeed in securing peace "with all our neighbors" under the leadership of President Trump.

Trump also said that there is nothing standing in the way of a ceasefire with Hamas.
