A new flotilla heading to Gaza is nearing Israeli waters after setting sail in recent weeks. Following a stop for mechanical repairs and resupply, the vessel is now continuing its course toward the Strip.

The ship originally departed from Syracuse, Sicily, and last week docked in Gallipoli, southern Italy, where it picked up equipment and additional activists. Organizers said today the vessel is finally heading to sea for the last leg of the trip.

The mission, organized by the “Freedom Flotilla Coalition,” mirrors past attempts that ended in confrontations or were intercepted by the Israeli Navy. As with previous voyages, this one carries only a small group of activists, most of them known for their anti-Israel stance.

Similar to Greta's doomed and ridiculous flotilla, this latest effort is not expected to reach Gaza’s coast but rather to generate international headlines. The ship’s humanitarian payload is minimal.

The vessel is expected to reach Israeli territory within days. Authorities are preparing for a response similar to previous flotilla incidents.
