Health Ministry orders hospitals to prepare for possible multi-casualty incidents

The release cited the coming end of the month of Ramadan, possibly a reference to an offensive in Rafah, as well as possible escalation in the north as the reason for this alert.

The Health Ministry Director-General held meetings with the heads of the health system and hospitals regarding possible escalations due to the end of Ramadan, possibly a reference to a Rafah operation, and the possible heating up of the war in the north.

The ministry stressed the importance of preparing for a possible mass-casualty attack and of organizing teams of doctors and nurses to reinforce hospitals in the north if need be.

The importance of maintaining care for people on breathing machines and the insured even during war or blackouts.
