Forces of the 98th Division's combat team and special forces of the Air Force and the Yahalom combat engineering unit eliminated Hussien Fiad, commander of Hamas' Beit Hanoun Battalion, in an underground area today (Thursday).

Fiad was responsible for multiple anti-tank missile attacks on IDF troops as well as mortar launches against settlements in the northern Gaza Perimeter.

The IDF Spokesperson said that there are currently three divisions operating in the Gaza Strip, and that some 180 terrorists have been eliminated so far in Rafah operations.
