Young Democrats of America: Israel Committing "Ongoing Genocide in Gaza"
In another sign of the hostility towards Israel within young Democratic ranks, an effort was even made to strike out Israel's right to exist as a Jewish and democratic state from the organization's platform.
The Young Democrats of America, a major group representing Democrats under the age of 36 with over 20,000 members, adopted a resolution last Saturday which stated as fact that Israel was committing genocide in Gaza, according to a Jewish Insider report today (Tuesday).
According to the report, resolutions rejecting support even for Israel's right to exist as a Jewish democratic state and support for opposition to Iran's undemocratic regime were rejected but often narrowly.
The resolution states YDA's opposition to "Israeli government’s ongoing genocide in Gaza, its occupation of the West Bank, and its denial of civil and political rights on an equal basis in the territories it militarily occupies," according to the Insider.
