In a joint operation involving the Border Police, military forces, and police, a significant weapons and ammunition smuggling attempt was thwarted in the Jordan Valley region.

Surveillance by the Jordan Valley and Valleys Brigade, in collaboration with Israeli Police, detected suspicious activity in the Jordan Valley area near the Na'ama settlement. Tracks and search teams were dispatched to the area, in addition to additional forces from the Jordan Valley and Valleys Brigade and the Border Police's Matilan Unit.

On-site forces identified two suspicious bags in the area. Upon inspection, these bags were determined to be part of a smuggling attempt, containing two pistols, 10 weapon assemblies, and 6 barrels for M-16 rifles, along with additional weapon parts. All seized weapons and ammunition were transferred to the Israel Police for further investigation. On-site forces continue to conduct operations to prevent any incursions into Israel or external and internal smuggling attempts.
