President Isaac Herzog welcomes Christmas in Israel
President Herzog visited the northern city of Acre and Kfar Yasif, where Christian communities live and operate under the State of Israel.

President Yitzhak Herzog visited local Christian and other non-Jewish communities this Christmas eve (Tuesday) in the towns of Acre and Kfar Yasif.
Upon visiting Acre, Herzog said that "Acre is a city with a rich history and an unparalleled unique fabric of life. It bridges a glorious past with a hopeful future and embodies the full strength of the idea of shared living."
“Visiting the city is always deeply moving for me, especially when I meet the diverse community living here in harmony, demonstrating that blending cultures, religions, and beliefs is a source of resilience and strength."
He also extended his welcome to all Christians in Israel:
"I extend my holiday greetings to the Christian communities of the Holy Land and the region: Merry Christmas! I also congratulate Kafr Yasif on the centennial celebrations of its establishment and salute the memory of the late Naim Hada, a dear leader who contributed greatly to the town. Thank you to Council Head and all the town’s leaders for their blessed efforts."
Finally, the President extended a hand of peace and goodwill to Israel's neighbors in the north:
"From here, I also address our neighbors in Lebanon and Syria: we do not seek war. We hope for days of freedom, democracy, and peace for all the peoples of the region, within secure and quiet borders."
