The IDF confirmed this morning (Thursday) that Israeli forces operated in Syrian territory, in the south of the country. This comes after Syria reported tonight that nearly 25 Israeli attacks were carried out in the Hama region in the south of the country, with ground operations by our forces in the country's territory.

The IDF confirmed reports this morning: "During the night, the forces of the 474th Brigade operated in the area of Tasil in southern Syria, confiscating weapons and destroying terrorist infrastructure," the statement said.

During the operation, a number of armed men fired at our forces in the area. The forces responded with gunfire, killing a number of armed terrorists from the ground and from the air.

It was also reported: "The forces have completed their mission in the area, there are no casualties to our forces."

Syria’s Foreign Ministry strongly condemned Israel’s recent strikes, accusing Jerusalem of deliberately destabilizing the region.

In an official statement, the ministry described the attacks as “an unjustified escalation” and “a deliberate attempt to undermine Syria’s stability.” It further claimed that the strikes inflicted severe damage, including near-total destruction at Hama airport and injuries to dozens of Syrian soldiers and civilians.
