Israel was jolted by sirens as Iran launched three separate ballistic missile attacks, in one of the longest such assaults in the ongoing war. Amid the chaos, Israeli political commentator Amit Segal, in a post cleared by military censorship, called the attack a “moment of impact” and warned that traveling during an alarm was a “serious mistake.” His words highlighted the acute state of alert gripping the nation, where adherence to IDF Home Front Command directives is critical for civilian safety.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) initially reported about 15 ballistic missiles fired in multiple waves over 40 minutes, later revising the count to 6-7 missiles launched in four salvos. Sirens blared across central Israel, Jerusalem, southern regions, and communities near the Gaza and Lebanon borders, sending residents to bomb shelters.

One missile struck near a “strategic” electrical facility in southern Israel, causing power outages in nearby towns, the Israel Electric Corporation reported. Repair teams were deployed to restore electricity in coordination with security forces. Medics responded to a reported missile impact in the Ashdod area, but Magen David Adom confirmed no injuries, reflecting Israel’s effective air defenses and civilian preparedness.

The attack comes amid heightened regional tensions, with Israeli strikes reported in Iran and U.S. military actions targeting Iranian assets.

As the Home Front Command lifted shelter orders, most (but not all) Israeli citizens are remaining vigilant.
