Israel to return to full activity - all restrictions lifted
The Gaza Perimeter remains subject to IDF control.
The IDF just released the following statement today (Tuesday):
"Following the situational assessment and the approval of Minister of Defense, Israel Katz, it was determined that as of today (Tuesday), at 20:00, immediate changes will be made to the Home Front Command's defensive guidelines.
"As part of the changes, all areas of the country will shift to full activity without restriction.
"*Communities near the Gaza Strip - remain subject to the Southern Command's guidelines.
'The changes will be effective from Tuesday, June 24th, 2025, at 20:00 until Thursday, June 26th, 2025, at 20:00."
The Education Minister also announced a "gradual" return to normal learning:
"Education Minister's Directive: Starting Tomorrow – Preparation for Gradual Return to 'Face-to-Face' Learning, According to Local Authorities' Readiness and Preparedness
"Following the updated Home Front Command guidelines and subject to them, Education Minister Yoav Kisch has instructed the education system to advance, starting tomorrow (Wednesday, 25.6), a return to 'face-to-face' learning – in a gradual, coordinated manner and according to the assessment of each local authority's readiness and capability.
"In authorities where additional preparation is required – due to infrastructure damage, lack of staff, or temporary use of buildings – the return will be carried out at a pace appropriate for the authority. The Ministry of Education will provide them with professional guidance, tailored response, and full support – until all Israeli students are returned to formal frameworks, in a prepared, safe, and supportive educational environment.
"The goal is clear: to complete the school year within the school community and in the classroom space."
