Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar to Hamas: Disarm and Give Up Power
As part of France's effort to promote a two-state solution, major Arab countries together with several European ones have signed a declaration calling on Hamas to effectively disband for the sake of peace.

Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Qatar, three major Arab parties intimately involved in hostage negotiation talks and efforts to end the war in Gaza, were among those who signed a resolution calling on Hamas to disarm and give up political power for the sake of an independent Palestinian state, according to a report today (Tuesday) by Times of Israel.
The resolution was also signed by multiple European countries, which supported the idea of a Palestinian state in principle but rejected France's call for immediate and unilateral recognition of a Palestinian state even without a peace agreement or arrangements regarding Hamas' place in such a state.
Hamas is highly unlikely to agree to this condition, as it has repeatedly rejected all such calls in the past and even considered disarmament to be outside the scope of all negotiated deals to release Israeli hostages.
