IDF: We Control 75% of Gaza | WATCH
The IDF released a summary of Operation Gideon's Chariots, showing the achievements and strategic gains in the operation as it gears up to capture Gaza City.

The IDF released the following statement today (Wednesday) regarding the achievements of Operation Gideon's Chariots:
"During Operation “Gideon’s Chariots”, IDF troops under the Southern Command achieved operational control over about 75% of the Gaza Strip.
"This operational control enabled the IDF to significantly expand its activities, thereby striking Hamas’ capabilities and terrorist infrastructure as well as undermining its chain of command."
"The IDF also took note of the way it has bisected the southern Gaza Strip:
"During the initial renewal of ground operations in March 2025 and throughout Operation “Gideon’s Chariots”, the IDF paved central corridors in the Gaza Strip with the aim of striking Hamas’ capabilities and defeating its brigades.
"The “Morag” Corridor - a key corridor splitting the Rafah and Khan Yunis Brigades.
"The “Magen Oz” Corridor - a key corridor splitting the Khan Yunis Brigade from the east to the west."
Finally, it described the general operations and achievements of the five divisions operating in the Strip:
"During Operation ‘Gideon’s Chariots’, five divisions operated simultaneously on the ground in order to achieve operational control above and below ground across the Gaza Strip.
"IDF troops operated in strategic areas throughout Gaza, where they located and dismantled dozens of terror tunnels, blocked escape routes for terrorists, and eliminated dozens of terrorist cells and senior Hamas commanders.
"These activities degraded the terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip’s combat and command capabilities and created significant operational enhancements designed to ensure long-term security for the civilians of the State of Israel."
