A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Rishon LeZion on Sunday when 12-year-old Milena Bobkova jumped to her death from the roof of the Winery building, just one week after a similar suicide attempt at the same location where she was rescued by authorities.

Milena's condition was critical upon arrival at Assaf Harofeh Shamir Medical Center, where she was rushed while undergoing resuscitation efforts. Doctors pronounced her dead shortly after. Her close friend, who jumped alongside her while holding hands, remains hospitalized in a very serious but stable condition.

This marks the second attempt for Milena in the exact spot. Last week, police negotiators successfully convinced her to descend from the roof, after which she was transferred for medical treatment.

However, no such intervention occurred this time. Alina, Milena's mother and her only parent, spoke to Walla amid her grief: "I'm still not processing that my daughter is gone. I'm on my way to organize the funeral and get official documents from the hospital. My heart hurts, my heart is breaking. She was such a good and beautiful girl. She was supposed to celebrate her birthday in a month, on September 16. It's incomprehensible. My heart refuses to believe."

Eyewitnesses described the harrowing scene: "They held hands before jumping," one recounted. "It was a sight that's very hard to forget. People stood there and couldn't move." According to a close family friend, Yevgenia, Milena's mental health struggles stemmed from her parents' divorce about a year ago, which severed her relationship with her father despite her strong desire to maintain it. "It affected her a lot and led her to a difficult mental state. She simply couldn't bear the pain anymore," Yevgenia said. "She was truly a good girl. I love her very much. We've known each other for almost six years; we immigrated together to Israel from Russia. My daughter is also named Milena and she was her best friend like a sister. My heart is shattered to pieces; we're still not able to process this."

Hours before the tragedy, police issued a missing persons alert for Milena, seeking public assistance in locating her. Later that day, reports confirmed she had fallen from the roof. Rescue teams performed CPR on-site before evacuating her to the hospital. Authorities stated the case is being handled by welfare services.

Milena's funeral is scheduled for today at 4:00 PM at the Rehovot cemetery.
