Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has publicly expressed gratitude to U.S. President Donald Trump for his steadfast support, highlighting their joint efforts against Iran in the recent war.

Netanyahu just posted to his official X account: "Thank you, President Trump, for your heartfelt support for me and your tremendous support for Israel and the Jewish people.

We will continue to work together to defeat our common enemies, free our hostages, and rapidly expand the circle of peace."

In a statement posted on Truth Social, Trump praised Netanyahu as a historic warrior who secured a major victory by neutralizing a significant nuclear threat. However, as Netanyahu faces a court summons on Monday for ongoing legal battles, Trump decried the trial as a politically motivated “witch hunt,” calling for its immediate cancellation or a pardon for the Israeli leader.

These are his full remarks:

“Bibi and I have just been through hell together, fighting an old, stubborn, and cunning enemy of Israel—Iran—and Bibi was at his best: sharp, strong, and full of love for the incredible Holy Land. Any other person would have suffered losses, embarrassment, and chaos!

Bibi Netanyahu was a warrior—perhaps the greatest warrior in Israel’s history—and the result was something no one believed would happen: the complete elimination of one of the greatest and most powerful nuclear threats in the world, which was planned to occur—very soon!

We fought, quite literally, for Israel’s survival—and no one in Israel’s history has fought harder or with greater skill than Bibi Netanyahu.

Despite all this, I have now learned that Bibi has been summoned to court on Monday for the continuation of this horror show, ongoing since May 2020—unbelievable! (This is the first time a sitting Israeli Prime Minister has faced trial).

This is a political case, about cigars, a Bugs Bunny doll, and a series of unfair charges, all aimed at severely harming him.

A witch hunt like this, against a man who has given so much, is unthinkable to me.Bibi deserves much more—and Israel deserves more.

Bibi Netanyahu’s trial must be canceled immediately, or he should be granted a pardon—as a great hero of the state who has done so much for it.”

As they navigate domestic pressures and regional complexities, the Netanyahu-Trump “bromance” stands stronger than ever, (even though many of us had our doubts) poised to shape the Middle East’s geopolitical landscape with unwavering mutual loyalty.
