A near-tragedy in Jackson ended with a remarkable rescue Monday evening after a toddler who had lost a pulse following a pool accident was revived by paramedics from Hatzolah of Central Jersey.

The incident unfolded just before 5:30 p.m., when emergency dispatchers received reports of a child pulled unresponsive from a swimming pool. Hatzolah units reached the scene within minutes and discovered the toddler with no pulse. Using advanced life-saving techniques, medics were able to restore the child’s heartbeat before rushing the patient to Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Hospital officials later confirmed the child was in stable condition, calling the turnaround “miraculous.”

The high-stakes response was complicated by a separate accident: a Jackson Township police officer en route to the scene was involved in a crash near the Royal Grove development. Hatzolah personnel diverted to assist, treating the officer for minor injuries.

Authorities credited the swift actions of first responders with averting what could have been a devastating outcome for the child’s family.
