Iran reportedly informed the United States via an intermediary at the G7 conference that it would unleash terrorist sleeper cells to commit terrorism throughout the country, if the President went through with his intent to bomb Iranian nuclear weapons sites, according to NBC News.
For his part, President Trump and his administration have repeatedly threatened to hit Iran much harder if the country struck back at any clearly American targets, including not only targets within the US but also American bases in the Middle East. The FBI and other agencies are also keeping a close watch on suspected sleeper cells within the country.
