The governments of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates published an unusual joint statement this evening (Tuesday), in which they said that they will stop humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip soon. According to them, "this will be the responsibility of Israel and the US."

In addition, the two countries announced that they will not finance any rehabilitation and construction activities in the Gaza Strip after the war, unless it was within the framework of the two-state solution.

As a reminder, in recent weeks the United Arab Emirates established a field hospital on the shores of the Gaza Strip, with the aim of helping the wounded in the war. It was also said that Dubai and Riyadh will build water desalination facilities to help citizens in Gaza.
