US Central Command reported today (Thursday) that the Houthis struck a commercial ship with an explosive drone boat or Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV), causing serious damage to the vessel.

An explosive drone boat of Unmanned Surface Vessel launched by the Houthis struck "M/V Tutor, a Liberian flagged, Greek owned and operated vessel, in the Red Sea." The drone caused serious flooding and damage to the ship's engine room.

This is a further escalation of Houthi blockade tactics, as they expand both the scope and the means of their efforts to interrupt international shipping and put Israel under siege.
