Israel Responds to Ireland’s Hostile Stance with Embassy Closure

Gideon Saar speaks up on Israel embassy shutdown in Ireland

Israel closes Embassy in Ireland in response to hostile actions and rhetoric. This comes after Ireland's countless actions against Israel including accusations of Genocide, calling for a Palestinian state, backing the ICC and the ICJ in Anti-Israel actions and not taking a stand against Anti-Semitism. As such the Israel embassy in Ireland will be shut down. Here are the comments from Gideon Saar.

In the post to site X, Gideon Saar announced:

"Today, I have ordered the closure of Israel’s Embassy in Ireland due to the Irish government’s actions, double standards, and anti-Semitic rhetoric against Israel, which are part of a broader campaign to delegitimize and demonize the Jewish state.

The Irish government recognized a "Palestinian state" during periods of conflict with Israel, a move that was praised by Hamas. It also attempted to redefine the term "genocide" in international law to support baseless allegations against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), backed politically motivated cases at the International Criminal Court (ICC), and advocated for anti-Israel measures within the European Union, fostering growing hostility toward Israel.

Furthermore, Ireland remains one of the few European nations that has not adopted the IHRA definition of antisemitism and has failed to take effective action against the rise of antisemitism within its own borders.

In light of these actions, Israel will prioritize strengthening its relations with countries based on their attitudes and actions toward Israel."
