Trump Approval Nearly Even, Generic Ballot Favors Democrats
A new Quantus Insights Polls shows the President doing fairly well among his core base but with the Democrats enjoying the generic ballot coming into the midterms.

President Donald Trump's approval stands at 48% compared to 50% who disapprove, according to a new survey published today on X (Thursday) by Quantus Insights, a polling firm which mapped the 2024 electorate better than most.
Meanwhile, the generic ballot for the coming 2026 midterm elections shows Democrats with a slight edge - 44% to 42% for the GOP - with substantial numbers of voters being undecided thus far.
College educated Americans, traditionally more hostile to Trump than the non-college educated, now support Trump at 47%, just one percentage point below the non-college educated.
