A civilian IDF worker was slightly injured as a result of a mine that exploded during a demining activity near the perimeter fence on the border with Jordan. He was taken to Poriya Hospital

This morning (Monday), during the process of removing mines near the border with Jordan, a civilian employee of the IDF was injured by a detonated mine.

According to an IDF spokesperson, an engineering vehicle of the army encountered a mine near the security fence, close to the Golan gate. The vehicle was damaged. The injured individual was taken to Poriya Hospital in a stable condition.

The Jordan Valley Regional Council urges the public not to approach the security fence.
