Iran Launches Massive Missile Barrage on Israel as IDF Responds with Strikes Deep Inside Iran
Iran unleashes massive rocket and missile assault on Israel following U.S. strikes on nuclear reactors. Explosions rock Haifa, direct hits reported in multiple districts. Israel retaliates with fierce airstrikes on western Iran.
Iran has launched a heavy rocket and missile barrage toward the State of Israel, just hours after U.S. President Donald Trump ordered the destruction of Iran’s nuclear program, delivering a deadly blow to the regime’s three main nuclear reactors. Current reports indicate multiple rocket impacts across the country. A large explosion was heard near the Haifa Port area, and at least ten impacts have been confirmed so far. Alarming reports note that no warning sirens were activated in some regions.
In Dan District, a direct hit on a building has been reported.
In Central District, a vehicle was struck near a residential building, causing extensive destruction. In the Coastal District, multiple buildings were damaged in direct hits.
Rescue and firefighting teams are on the scene conducting searches and working to extract those trapped under the rubble.
According to emergency services, ten people have been injured and one is in following the most recent barrage.
In response, the IDF Spokesperson has confirmed that the Israeli Air Force has launched a wave of strikes targeting military objectives in western Iran. These include:
The apparent goal of Tehran’s escalation is to provoke a severe Israeli counterattack - possibly one that destabilizes the regime enough to draw the U.S. into a deeper and more direct conflict.
So far, however, Israel and the United States have demonstrated far greater strategic sophistication than Iran and its Islamist allies — a reality that may significantly hinder Tehran’s broader ambitions and place the regime’s own survival at risk.
UPDATE:
According to the IDF, Iran launched two missile barrages toward Israel Saturday morning. The first salvo, around 7:30 AM, consisted of approximately 25 missiles. A second barrage of about five missiles followed shortly after, around 8:00 AM.
The rocket attacks injured at least 23 people across several cities. The IDF Spokesperson confirmed the following casualties: 13 lightly wounded in Tel Aviv, 6 in Ness Ziona, 3 in Haifa, and 1 in Be'er Ya'akov. There are no reports of missing persons or serious injuries at this time.
Israel’s Home Front Command is currently examining whether one of the Iranian missiles contained cluster munitions, a development that could signal further escalation in the nature of Iran’s weaponry used in the war.
