Colonel Warns: “Civil War Is Coming to the UK”

Richard Kemp says politicians are paralyzed, enemies are funding unrest, and ordinary Britons may soon “take action into their own hands.”

Colonel Richard Kemp, who once commanded forces in Afghanistan and served on the Joint Intelligence Committee and the government’s COBRA crisis unit, says that political cowardice and foreign interference are creating the conditions for violent unrest on British soil.

“The more it develops, the more unrest we’re going to see,” Kemp declared in a new interview. “I would go as far as to predict not just civil unrest but civil war in the UK in the coming years. I would hate to be right on this, but I know there is no political solution.”

Who Kemp Blames

Kemp argues that Britain faces an alliance of the hard left and Islamists, who are increasingly emboldened and backed by hostile foreign powers including Russia, China, and Iran.

“These agitators are being fostered by - and to a large extent funded by - our international enemies,” he warned. “Together they threaten not just Britain’s cohesion but the entire cultural and political existence of the West.”

Politicians in Denial

In Kemp’s view, Britain’s leaders are utterly unprepared for the crisis.

“They’re in a state of bewilderment, like rabbits in headlights,” he said. “They want to keep a state of equilibrium just long enough to win the next election. They don’t want to take the radical action necessary to address these problems.”

One of the key issues, he stressed, is mass migration - something Kemp believes ordinary Britons will no longer tolerate passively.

“There’s only so much people can take,” he said. “The British have been very quiet until now, but the more this develops, the more unrest we will see. At some point people will feel they have no option but to take action into their own hands.”

Echoes From Academia

Kemp’s grim outlook mirrors warnings by Dr. David Betz, a war professor at King’s College London, who earlier this year declared that the UK is already “past the tipping point” for avoiding violent conflict. “There isn’t anything they can do, it’s baked in,” Betz said. “Normal politics can no longer solve the problem. Almost every plausible way forward from here involves some kind of violence.”

Notably, Kemp has never heard of Betz, yet both men arrived at the same conclusion independently. Observers say that makes the warnings even more alarming.

A Point of No Return?

For Kemp, the bleak truth is that the British political system is structurally incapable of taking the tough steps needed to avert disaster.

“When I say there is no solution, I don’t mean one doesn’t exist,” he explained. “I mean there is no solution that our politicians are willing to take, because they are afraid of doing anything significant.”

That paralysis, he believes, leaves only one path: confrontation between ordinary Britons and those who seek to destabilize the country.

Is There Hope?

Kemp insists he does not want to be right, and that strong leadership could still steer Britain away from collapse. But for now, his message is stark: unless something changes, the United Kingdom is sleepwalking into civil war.
