Last night (Sunday), Chelsea stunned European champions PSG, thrashing them 3-0 in a one-sided Club World Cup final held in the United States. As the trophy was lifted, a humorous moment unfolded involving U.S. President Donald Trump.

Trump presented the medals and trophy to the world champion players and was supposed to leave during the trophy lift. Instead, the president chose to stay, confusing Chelsea's captain, Mike James, who was unsure of what to do next.

Smiling, Trump whispered a few words to the team's goalkeeper, momentarily becoming an honorary Chelsea player. In the match itself, Chelsea, as mentioned, shocked the French side, who had conceded only one goal in the tournament until last night.

Chelsea's red-hot signing, Cole Palmer, led the Blues to the massive victory with a brace (22', 29') and an assist for João Pedro (43').

The European champions had bulldozed their way to the final, crushing Real Madrid (4-0), Atlético Madrid (4-0), defeating Bayern Munich (2-0) with nine players, and just a month and a half ago, demolishing Inter Milan (5-0) in the most lopsided Champions League final in history.

None of that helped them against a rejuvenated Chelsea, who came from the "easier" side of the draw, facing only one European team (Benfica Lisbon), whom they beat 4-1. Pundits expected an easy win for the European champions, but Chelsea stunned everyone.

At the end of the match, PSG's manager Luis Enrique got into a scuffle with Chelsea's João Pedro. Enrique has since expressed regret but claimed he was only reacting to a push.
