God Is Happy. Why Aren’t You? | WATCH
Many envision G-d as stern and distant, but Torah reveals a different truth: G-d rejoices in His creations and wants us to do the same.
Most people picture G-d as angry, strict, distant.
But Torah says:
“Yismach Hashem b’ma’asav” — G-d rejoices in His creations.
“Chelek Hashem Amo” — His portion is YOU.
And the Rambam says: The goal is to go in His ways. That means… be happy.
Not wild, fake-happy.
Not ecstatic for 5 seconds and then back to stress.
Real simcha: feeling you’re growing, living with purpose, becoming who you’re meant to be.
Because the biggest punishment in the Torah isn’t for sin —
It’s for serving Hashem without joy.
So if you want to walk in G-d’s ways, start with this:
Train yourself to be deeply, consistently happy.
That’s the real avodah.
