Turst Yourself

How To Stop Second-Guessing Yourself | WATCH

The question you must ask yourself is simple: Are you living according to your values? Are you honoring what you truly believe is right? Are you being authentically you?

We live in a world of endless possibilities, where every choice seems to come with a thousand alternatives. Some people second-guess themselves once. Others do it three, four, five times until they exhaust themselves and simply give up. But what if the real problem isn't the choices we make, but our inability to trust them?

The Illusion of the Perfect Choice

Here's a truth that might surprise you: there is no perfect choice in life. Ever. There are millions of ways of thinking, countless paths to explore, and infinite perspectives to consider. The question isn't whether you made the "best" decision, it's whether your choice aligns with your deepest values.

Take the decision to live in Israel, for instance. Yes, it comes with uncertainty. Yes, there's spiritual electricity in the air and an unknown future ahead. But if you connect with the meaningful choice of being part of something greater than yourself, if it resonates with your innermost being, your neshama, then you've made the right choice for you.

The Rock That Moses Hit

There's wisdom in the ancient story of Moses and the rock. He was supposed to speak to it, but when it didn't work immediately, when people were watching and questioning, he lost faith in his method. Instead of trusting his original approach, he switched to force , he hit the rock with his stick.

How often do we do the same? We start with our authentic voice, our natural approach. But when immediate results don't come, when others are watching and perhaps doubting, we abandon what makes us who we are. We reach for the stick instead of trusting our words.

Your Power Lives in Your Authenticity

Your power doesn't lie in conforming to what others expect or in finding the "perfect" method. It lies in staying true to who you are. When speaking to a child doesn't work immediately, we don't need to resort to the stick. When our first attempt at something doesn't yield instant results, we don't need to abandon our authentic approach.

The Cost of Constant Second-Guessing

When we continuously question our choices, we're like drivers with the clutch pulled up, burning out our engine. Every moment spent in regret, every hour dedicated to wondering "what if," is energy stolen from moving forward. We destroy our creativity, our momentum, and ultimately, our soul.

Moses hit the rock once, thousands of years ago. But many of us keep hitting ourselves, keep questioning ourselves, keep regretting long after the moment has passed. This endless cycle of doubt doesn't serve us, it imprisons us.

The Liberation of Deciding Once

Here's your invitation to freedom: When you decide, decide only once. Trust in your ability to make choices that align with your values. Believe in the path you've chosen, not because it's perfect, but because it's yours.

Nobody else can be you. Nobody else has your unique combination of experiences, values, and insights. The world doesn't need another version of someone else , it needs the authentic you. Trust your choices. Trust your voice. Trust that when you align with your deepest values, you're exactly where you need to be.

The rock may not respond immediately, but that doesn't mean you should abandon your authentic approach. Sometimes it just means you haven't found the right rock yet.
